We are trying to provide you with an easy installation through our new guide for Windows 11 installation. We recommend that you read our article carefully for the Windows 11 pictorial installation explanation, pay attention to the operations performed in the pictures, take a backup of your data to avoid losing data, and proceed to the functions later. You can see the formatting processes in detail with our Windows 11 installation illustrated guide.

First, the new logo of Windows appears, and the famous balls start to spin. At this stage, we are just waiting.

At the first stage, the language selection screen comes to us. We choose the language to install Windows, our time and currency, keyboard, and input management (i.e., our keyboard layout). Then we click on the “next” button with the help of our mouse, and we move on to the next step.

At this stage, we click the “Download Now” button. We do not need to take any further action, and we move on to the next step.

A screen that says the installation is starting welcomes us at this stage. Again at this stage, we are just waiting. We don’t need to take any action or press any keys.

At this stage, we enter our Windows key, if any. If you have Windows 10 on your computer before or came with Windows installed when you bought it, this stage will pass automatically. It will not prompt you for any Windows activation keys. This question will only appear for those installing Windows on their computer for the first time. If we have a key, we enter our product key and say next. Windows 11 will be installed as a trial version when we choose this option. Later we will have a chance to activate it.

At this stage, it asks which version of Windows we want to install. First of all, let’s say that if you enter a product key, this screen will not appear for you. Whichever product the product key belongs to, it will be installed automatically. This screen will appear for those who continue the installation saying, “I don’t have a product key.” If we look at the differences between the versions immediately;

We choose the Windows 11 versions that suit us and say “next.” To understand which of these versions is suitable for you, you can continue the installation process by checking the “Windows 11 Versions” section at the end of our article.

It asks us what kind of installation we want to do at this stage. The Upgrade option allows us to upgrade to Windows 11 without deleting any files or programs on our current computer. The custom option will enable us to set up the way we want. We choose the custom option in this guide because we will do a clean install (format). The custom option allows us to format discs as we want, create different discs or delete existing discs. By choosing the custom option, we move on to the next stage.

Then the disks installed on our computer appear. Since our example computer is a single disk, there is only one option, but if your computer has more than one disk or if your disk is divided into two or more parts, local disk c, and d, you can see more than one option here. Here you need to select the partition you want to install.

Warning 2: If Windows is already installed, there may be recovery partitions, many partitions under 1GB that Windows allocates for itself. You can delete them if you want. In this case, it will appear as an unallocated space. You can also add this unallocated space to the disk you want to install. If you do not want to deal with them, you can not touch them because they are tiny sections.

Notice 3: If you have two disks as local disk C and D, it is important to choose the correct disk. Otherwise, all files in it will be deleted.

Here we select the disk on which we will install. After selecting the disk, we click “delete” if Windows is already installed, and we ensure that everything in it is deleted (If you cannot delete the contents, just select that disk and press the “next” button. If you choose this option, Windows 11 will be installed on your computer. But your previous files are also Windows. A folder named old will be created and thrown into it. You can delete this file later)

If we press delete, we select the created section. Then we proceed by selecting the “next” option. (If you want to split the disk, you can first split that part into partitions by selecting the “new” option. For example, if you are going to format a zero disk as in our example and you want to split it into two as local Disk c and d, you can press the “New” button and then adjust the size of the partitions. In this case, Windows extra. You can create small partitions (200 – 300 Mb). These are normal. Then you select the partitions you want to install Windows from and click the “Next” button.

At this stage, the contents of the disk will be erased, do not forget that. In Windows, it reminds us of this and says that it will create different partitions. We pass this warning by saying “ok.”

Then the installation starts. At this stage, we continue to wait without doing anything. The installation may take a long time, depending on the speed of your computer and the USB memory you formatted. It can take up to 1 hour. So wait patiently.

After the installation is complete, it asks us to restart our computer. If you want, you can wait 10 seconds at this stage, or you can restart immediately by saying “restart now.” There is no difference between the two. You can use both options.

Then our computer will be restarted. We are waiting again at this stage. The Windows logo will come out, and the balls will spin again.

Next comes a screen where the new Windows logo welcomes us. We are still waiting at this stage.

Then the country selection screen comes up again. Here we choose the country we are in. Windows understands which country we are in and automatically selects it. If the selected country is correct, click on the “Yes” button. If it is wrong, we choose the country we are in from the list and then click the “Yes” button to move to the next step.

It then makes us choose our keyboard layout once again. At this stage, it is automatically selected again. If the automatically selected keyboard layout is correct, we continue by saying “Yes.” If the selected keyboard layout is wrong, we choose our own keyboard layout and then click the “Yes” button to move on to our next step.

It asks if we want to add a second keyboard layout at this stage. If we are using a second keyboard, we say “Add Layout” and select its keyboard layout. If we are not using a second keyboard and our second keyboard is in the same language as the keyboard we chose. First, we choose the “skip” option.

This phase checks for updates. We are still waiting. We do not need to take any action here.

It then asks us to give our computer a name. At this stage, we do not forget that the name we give will appear on the whole computer when connecting a device via Bluetooth. Without forgetting these, we define a name for our computer at this stage. Then click the “Next” button to continue the installation.

Then our computer restarts by itself. At this stage, we are still waiting without doing anything.

Now we need to log in to Windows with our Microsoft account. Except for the Pro versions, we need to log in with our Microsoft account in other versions, and if we do not have an account, we need to create a new account. At this stage, we handle our account transactions and say “Next.”

After opening our account, it asks us to create a pin. We will use this pin to log in to our computer, select the “Create pin” option and create a pin.

In the next step, if we have a computer with Windows installed before, it shows it here. He says that if we want, we can copy our settings, preferences, and the files we backed up to the computer where we install them. Since we did a clean install, we want everything to be deleted. We choose the “set as new device” option. In this way, we ensure that the computer is set up as a completely new computer. You can restore your previous profile if you don’t want to bother with re-setting. After choosing the option we want, we continue our process by selecting the “next” option.

At this stage, we come across the privacy settings. If we want to share our data with Microsoft, we can leave it all open. We recommend that you just turn on the “find my device” option. You will not share your data and reduce the background processes by closing the remaining options. We left the Find my device option active because it will help us find the location of our device in case it is lost or stolen.

A screen that does not exist in previous versions of Windows welcomes us and asks for what purpose we will use the computer. We choose the purposes for which our computer will be used, such as creativity, work, family, games, and click the “accept” button. If you don’t want to deal with them, you can skip this step by saying “skip.”

At this stage, it asks if we want to keep our files only on our computer or do we want to copy them on OneDrive, a service of Microsoft. If you do not use OneDrive and you only want your data to stay on your computer, if you do not want it to be backed up to OneDrive, we choose next while the “backup my files” option is checked. If you have a storage area in OneDrive if you want your documents to be copied there, and if you want the files to be uploaded to the internet and accessible from different places, we click on the “next” button while the “Back up my files with OneDrive” option is selected, and we move on to the next stage.

Then it goes to the stage of installing the updates it checks and the stage of installing the last part of the installation. Here again, we are waiting without any action.

After that stage, a black screen on our computer with white text and a screen showing that the updates are installed welcomes us.
